Oia is one of the most walkable towns in Greece and has a stunning path stretching for 12 kilometers, perfect for a scenic stroll.

Kastoria

Kastoria is not among the popular destinations in Greece, but definitely worth exploring and boasts plenty of beautiful places to visit. It is a charming historic town with plenty of picturesque lakeside mansions that beautifully reflect onto the lake. There are numerous gorgeous churches, giant oak trees, and scenic trails that wind through forests. If visiting Greece and looking for an off-the-beaten-path, Kastoria is an excellent destination for road-tripping, allowing tourists to explore the country’s unique side.

Metsovo is known to be one of the best winter holiday retreats in Greece and has plenty of things to explore for vacationers of all interests. From gorgeous natural attractions to an incredible wine culture to fantastic ski slopes, the town guarantees unforgettable experiences. The town is home to wonderful museums and delicious restaurants and taverns, offering different gastronomic experiences. Since Metsovo is situated about 50 minutes away from Ioannina, one can make it an incredible day trip from the city, that is, if traveling from Egnatia Odos.

Located on the foothills of Meteora pinnacles, famous rock formations are known for being home to one of the largest and most significant monasteries in Greece; Kalambaka is one of the most beautiful small towns to visit in the country. These monasteries date back to the 14th century and were used to seek spiritual isolation and home to people who suffered religious persecution. Vacationers can still visit all six of them and learn a bit of their history when they visit Kalambaka.
