Blue Skies and Warmer Temperatures = Great Spring Skiing
The end of winter brings warmer weather, blue skies and a party-like atmosphere to ski areas around the country as another season comes to a close. Not only is spring skiing a lot of fun, it is prime time to take advantage of special offers on lodging and lift tickets. So don't pack your skis up for the season yet - you'll want to hit the slopes a few more times this year when you see the special offers and events featured below.

Hunter Mountain and Windham Mountain, New York March Mountain Madness Each year these two New York ski resorts team up to give skiers discounts on lodging, lift tickets, cultural events and other activities in eight surrounding towns. Lodging rates start as low as $56/night and most packages include at least one free lift ticket. Coming up this weekend is Windham’s Spring Fling Pond Skimming Contest where you can watch daredevils turn snow skis into water skis or give it a try yourself.

Steamboat Springs, Colorado Springalicious at Steamboat, April 1- 12, 2009 Venture to this true ski town in northwestern Colorado where the whole family will have a blast - kids ski free and there are special offers for teens too. From April 1st - 12th take part in the Second Annual Steamboat Springalicious celebration and ski for three days for $99 – just $33/day. Springalicious fun includes a variety of concerts, events and competitions.Other offers include a 12-day April pass for $149.Or, take advantage of 'ski free' packages when you book a minimum of three nights lodging during Springalicious.



Mammoth Mountain, California Mammoth Value Pass – On Sale Beginning April 1, 2009 If you want to get in a lot of spring skiing at a great price – act fast. This spring Mammoth Mountain is selling a limited number of their Mammoth Value Passes to the public (and if you purchase this year you will be eligible to continue to renew each year). The passes are on sale from April 1 – April 30th or until they sell out and are good for unlimited skiing and riding starting on April 24th – June 2009. MVP passholders also receive discounts on lodging, summer passes and other activities.

Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival, April 17-26, 2009 This ten-day festival provides non-stop entertainment even for those who don’t’ feel like hitting the slopes by combining music, culture, sports and nightlife. The celebration includes Canada’s largest free outdoor concert series, films, a photography show and of course – spring skiing and snowboarding. The Grenade Games which run for six days during the festival are hailed as snowboarding’s best end of the season competition (and party).
