Monkeys, Mermaids and Mazes - Off the Beaten Path in Florida

Begun in 1933 as a Zoological Park experiment, Monkey Jungle features uncaged monkeys that run free in the wild and peer down at you – in YOUR cage! Amazonian monkeys have joined the jungle, along with others, including tamarins, orangutans, gorillas, howler monkeys and many more! Today, a wilderness river cruise, a mermaid museum and school, water slides and flumes have added modern appeal to the classic underwater mermaid shows. Every year, my sister Mary and her husband John, take their girls down to Florida to visit John's parents. They always appreciate the warm weather, sandy beaches and the magic of a certain"kingdom"... but this year they would like to start introducing the girls to some of the wonders of Florida that are a bit more off the beaten path.
