Acapulco's Iconic Hotel

It’s the perfect time to rediscover the recently renovated Fairmont Acapulco Princess

Howard Hughes spent his final days at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess Hotel in Mexico.
The Fairmont Acapulco Princess has long been a favorite area hotel. Now, having undergone a $30 million renovation earlier this year, there’s more to love than ever before at this iconic hotel.

The history of the Fairmont Acapulco Princess goes all the way back to the days of Old Hollywood. An episode of “The Love Boat” was filmed at the property, and Howard Hughes spent his final days in one of the hotel’s suites.

Sister property, the neighboring Fairmont Pierre Marques, has its own claim to fame. It was built in the 1950’s as a private getaway for John Paul Getty.

Today, there’s nothing like a day spent relaxing at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess, from treatments at Willow Stream Spa to the spectacular sunset views. And, since the renovation, the resort is noticing an increase in visitors – a sign that increased tourism is returning to Acapulco in general.

With room rates starting at just $150 a night, now’s the time to visit the iconic Fairmont Acapulco Princess.
