Tropical Paradise at Tokoriki

Fiji resort is an oasis of island relaxation and culture

\”Bula\” is the Fijian hello or welcome.
Have you ever dreamed of visiting a secluded island paradise? Of being surrounded by lush, tropical greenery and a friendly island culture? If the answer is yes, then Fiji’s Tokoriki Island Resort is the place for you.

Located on the northernmost island in the Mamanucas, Tokoriki is an adults-only resort with 34 freestanding bures (wooden villas with thatched roofs). The resort can be reached in about an hour by speedboat from Denerau, or in about 15 minutes by seaplane or helicopter transfer.

Once on the property, guests will enjoy a greenhouse of orchids, two restaurants offering local and Japanese cuisine, kayaks, a scuba center and a church that offers Sunday services – all in a lush setting of Fijian greenery. The property’s staff is also extremely friendly, an added benefit of staying at the resort.

Accommodations at Tokoriki feature a mix of Fijian and contemporary design elements, and have air conditioning, king-size beds, indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck. The best part? They are just steps away from the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to note that there is no television, Internet access or phone in the room, so get ready to disconnect and really relax.

Tokoriki offers a variety of excursions as well, such as boating, fishing, diving, island hopping and a traditional kava ceremony, plus an excellent spa. About half a mile from the resort’s coast is a spectacular reef, perfect for snorkeling.

Prices at Tokoriki start at approximately $600, with options available for meals and wedding packages.
