Alberta's All-Star Culinary Experiences

Alberta flexes its culinary muscles

Entree prices at many of the fine dining establishments in Alberta typically hover around $30.
Pricey entrees, uninventive plating and indifferent service can often be the descriptive hallmarks of dining experiences at unremarkable restaurants in national parks. A decided exception is what visitors to Alberta’s Banff National Park will experience, as fine dining options are varied and excellent.

From classic Rocky Mountain cuisine to Swiss fondue to sushi, some of the top chefs in Canada cook up memorable culinary experiences at restaurants scattered throughout the region.

Banff’s Le Beaujolais is a family-run French restaurant that has been an oasis of outstanding service, fine wines and wonderful delicacies for more than 30 years.

The Eden is one of only five AAA/CAA Five Diamond restaurants in all of Canada. Located in Banff’s Rimrock hotel, spectacular views and luxurious décor compliment a dining experience meant to be savored with dinner typically usually lasting more than 3 hours.

The Three Ravens Restaurant and Wine Bar in the Banff Center serves culinary delights that are all made in-house, including the condiments.

For a cozy atmosphere, great service and a serious selection of Canadian wines, head to the Trough in Canmore where the internationally inspired, locally sourced menu includes Alberta beef tenderloin with herb sauce alongside oriental duck confit with sweet citrus slaw.
