Oceania Cruises Unveils its 180-Day World Cruise

From Canada and the Mediterranean to Hong Kong and the Caribbean

When planning your world cruise, think about your goals for the cruise, from relaxation to adventure, and choose activities accordingly.
Around the world cruises have been on the cruise calendars for decades but Oceania Cruises has given this concept a makeover with the unveiling of its second 180-Day World Odyssey, due to set sail on July 8, 2015.

The exciting itinerary begins in Miami aboard the newly refurbished Insignia, a 684-guest luxury ship, and will take in a total of 100 ports of call. From Miami, Insignia will sail north to New England and Canada, then across the Atlantic to Greenland and Iceland. From here, she heads through the Norwegian Sea, taking in stops in Norway, through the North Sea with stops in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and England. Then it’s on to ports of call in France, Portugal, and Spain before entering the Mediterranean to visit stunning spots in Italy, Greece, and Israel.

By mid-September, Insignia will pass through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea on its way to Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. From here, she’ll cruise the Indian Ocean, making in stops in Kenya, Cape Town, and Madagascar, then head to the Caribbean for some Christmas and New Year’s island-hopping before concluding in Miami on January 4, 2016.

Throughout this extraordinary journey, guest will be treated to a variety of exclusive shore-side events: a wine tasting and dinner in Bordeaux, France; a day exploring the temples of Bagan in Myanmar; dining in under the stars at Swakop River Canyon outside Namibia’s Walvis Bay; and so much more.

Early booking fares start at $44,999 per person, and reservations are on sale now. Guest reserving their suite or stateroom by March 31, 2014, receive complimentary first-class round-trip airfare, free medical services, unlimited Internet, prepaid gratuities, and more.
