Take a historic tour of downtown Honolulu, Oahu: Honolulu is the center of business in Hawai’i as well as the state capital. There you can see unique Hawaiian architecture from bygone eras on Oahu. Visit Lolani Palace, a Renaissance Revivalist building constructed in 1882 that serves as a symbol of Hawaiian monarchy. See the statue of King Kamehameha and the elegant Capitol District Building, originally built in 1928. Today it houses the Hawai’i State Art Museum—an absolute must-see.
