Ouro Preto is an architectural treasure and UNESCO World Heritage site

Visitors should also see the Saint Francis of Assisi Church, constructed in the Baroque style and featuring a painted ceiling; the Church of Santa Ifigenia, with panoramic views of the city; and the Ouro Preto Municipal Theater, considered to be the oldest theater in Brazil.
