Edmonton showcases its range of golf courses
The Victoria is one of three city-operated 18-hole golf courses amidst a veritable green sea of courses dotted throughout the region. Riverside and Rundle round out the trio, all of which can be booked with a single call or online reservation.
Edmonton doesn’t have a hold on all of the golfing opportunities in the area; more then 80 additional courses offer a wide range of styles and types of greens and fairways in the city that first established itself as a golfer’s paradise in 1896 and hasn’t let up since.
Long summer days with light lasting up to 17 hours helps fuel the obsession over the links shared by locals and visitors alike.
A few of the courses in the area include Eagle Rock, Cougar Creek, Coal Creek, The Quarry and Trestle Creek – a massive endeavor that will eventually serve as the centerpiece of a 440-acre recreation area and RV park amongst its 27 holes.
