Nicknamed “The Happy Island,” Aruba isn’t just about rest and relaxation on its white-sand beaches and crystal clear waters. Entertainment isn’t limited to just the resorts, though. There’s fun to be had on all corners of the 70-square-mile Caribbean island. Snorkeling around shipwrecks, off-roading through the island’s rugged landscape, and visiting the Butterfly Farm are among the headlining attractions. Baby Beach is a half-moon sandy expanse in a calm lagoon with waters shallow enough for the kiddos. Arikok National Park’s caves, covert beaches, cacti, and indigenous fauna cover nearly 20 percent of the island and make a great place for exploring.
