– Cycle through the Andes Mountain Range on MTB Tours’ Andes Cross trip, which travels from the Mendoza province of Argentina to Curico, Chile, along the remote Vergara Pass. The challenging trail reaches a maximum elevation of 8,070 feet above sea level, but travelers are rewarded by an experience described by one former biker as “riding on the moon surrounded by great people, food and memorable views.” The trip only takes place in January and February, and 2014 trip dates include January 31 – February 9, February 14-23, and February 28 – March 9.

Explore traditional towns, lush rainforests and the arid desert on this unique travel experience. In 2014, departures are scheduled for April 4-13 and May 30 – June 8.

– Get off the beaten path in Argentina on the Discover Northern Argentina bicycle tour. This trip explores an area that is home to part of the famous Inca Trail, as well as lush valleys, Incan ruins, deserts, cloudforest and wine country. Finally, at the end of the trip, bikers take a ride through the dazzling geological formations of Quebrada de las Conchas. In 2014, available tour dates include April 28 – May 5 and September 15-22.
– On the seven-day Bicycling Patagonia’s Lakes District itinerary, cyclers will travel from Argentina to Chile along the Continental Divide in the Andes. Highlights of the route include views of conical volcanoes, snow-capped Andean peaks, waterfalls on the Petrohué River, thermal pools and more. Potential dates for the tour in 2014 include January 4-10 and February 22-28, with limited spaces still available for the latter trip.
