An extended agreement gives cruisers more chances to sail on Carnival out of New Orleans

The Carnival Sunshine will give Carnival cruisers a third ship option for sailing from New Orleans, once it is homeported in the city.
Cruisers interested in sailing on a Carnival ship out of New Orleans will have more opportunities to do so, now that an agreement will keep three ships homeported there through 2016.

Carnival has had two ships homeported in the city, the Carnival Conquest and the Carnival Elation. The Conquest sails six- and seven-day itineraries from the Erato Street Cruise Terminal to Caribbean ports of call including Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Nassau, the Bahamas, San Juan, and others. The Elation’s sailings include four- and five-day cruises to Cozumel and Progreso. The Carnival Sunshine is also set to be the third Carnival vessel ported in New Orleans, following its $155 million refurbishment – so keep an eye out for even more itineraries sailing out of the city from the cruise line.
