Crystal Cruises invites fans of ‘The Hobbit’ on a private after-hours tour of the village movie
set
During the exclusive excursion, voyagers can view Frodo and Bilbo Baggins’ Hobbit holes and the Brandywine Bridge while touring set buildings and strolling the surrounding rolling hills. Total Hobbit immersion continues as guests learn about the massive efforts undertaken to build a movie set on the site known as the Hobbiton.
The tour wraps up tastily with a sunset dinner consisting of a traditional Kiwi barbecue washed down with local beer and wine – all served by wait staff dressed in hairy-footed Lord of the Rings-themed garb.
The Hobbiton dinner is offered during Crystal Symphony calls on the port of Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, located on the North Island of New Zealand.
