A culinary expose in Edmonton

The French-Canadian specialty called poutine is a guilty pleasure must-try for any visitor to the area.
The Empire Ballroom at the Fairmont Hotel McDonald serves one of the most memorable Sunday brunches on earth. And it is just one of the many culinary delights visitors uncover as they feast their way through Alberta’s capital city of Edmonton.

Looking for a quick and satisfying bite? The Hardware Grill serves up traditional Canadian comfort food in a renovated former warehouse near the downtown business district. And you know its fresh, as everything served is made in-house.

Want fine dining on a global scale? Corso 32 has received numerous awards and accolades and is considered by many gourmands to be the hottest restaurant in town with fresh, locally sourced ingredients infused in chef Daniel Costa’s unique take on Italian. But reserve well in advance, as its tough to get a last-minute table here.

For those who didn’t plan 30 days ahead, the Three Boars Eatery has also received its share of attention for its small plates, craft beers and fine whiskey.

For one of the city’s most unique experiences, locals and visitors alike flock to the Muttart Conservatory, which serves as the backdrop for Culina Muttart. The restaurant features fruit and vegetable dishes on its menu that are grown inside the giant botanical pyramids in which diners sit.
