Unique 11-day Fiji cruise offers a trip to the seldom-visited Lau Group and Kadavu

Visitors to the remote Lau Islands in Fiji are rewarded with an authentic taste of Fijian life and unspoiled natural beauty.
On April 22, 2014, Captain Cook Cruises will launch its first-ever Discovery Lau Cruise, exploring this remote destination in Fiji. This 11-night cruise will take travelers to the unspoiled Lau Group and Kadavu, a seldom-visited part of Fiji, onboard Reef Endeavor.

Highlights of the cruise are set to include Tivua Island for snorkeling in 500 acres of coral gardens, boating or river tubing on the Nasakawa River on Vanua Levu, a visit to the Cobia extinct volcano crater and secluded beach of Yanuca Island and more. Other island stops include Vanuabalavu, the largest island of the Lau; Qilaqila, known for pristine waters and mushroom-shaped islands; uninhabited Vuaqava and its central lake, known for turtles, snakes and bird life; Kabara, to meet the local villagers; Totoya Island to visit a local school; and Kadavu, famous for its wildlife and stunning underwater world.

The 11-night cruise includes snorkeling and glass-bottom boat tours, marine biologist and cultural talks, entertainment, a lovo feast and kava ceremony, guided tours, daily stops and water activities and all meals.
