Shoppers unite at the massive West Edmonton Mall

The West Edmonton Mall is easy to access – a major transit center is on the south side of the mall at entrance 48.
A visit to Edmonton wouldn’t be complete without taking the time to explore its many authentic neighborhoods. But when it’s a massive shopping spree you seek, it’s impossible to go wrong with a trip to North America’s largest mall.

The West Edmonton Mall is home to more than 800 stores and services. It also contains 10 world-class attractions, two hotels, over 100 dining venues, a variety of specialty retailers, and entertainment for people of all ages. More than 30 million people visit the 5 million square foot mall every year, making it the province’s number one tourist attraction.

While shoppers indulge in the ultimate feast, those who come for the attractions will have their pick of everything from indoor water and amusement parks to a zoo. Other attractions include a shooting range, dinner theatre, inter-denominational chapel, and even a large-scale replica of the Santa María (one of the ships sailed by Christopher Columbus), whose deck can be booked for private functions.

West Edmonton Mall even offers visitors a trip around the world through shopping and dining themed areas including Europa Blvd., Bourbon Street, and Chinatown.

Once you have had your fill of the traditional stores found in most world-class cities, Edmonton takes it one further by offering completely different experiences throughout its charming city in authentic neighborhoods boasting highly unique shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural venues. The most popular neighborhood is Old Strathcona, which offers a journey into the city’s past.
