Pelo Camp is completely eco-friendly and ideal for traditional African adventure

Wilderness Safaris has opened the ultimate in eco-friendly digs – Pelo Camp, located in a remote part of the Jao Concession on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Pelo Camp has no permanent structures, making it an ideal accommodations option for those concerned with their impact on the environment, as well as adventurers seeking a very traditional Delta experience.
The intimate camp includes a main tented area and lounge, an outdoor dining area and only five guest tents. The accommodations are spacious and include an outdoor bucket shower with views of the lagoon, en-suite bathrooms and a covered front veranda.
Situated on a small island, activities at the camp focus on canoe excursions, boating, walking and seasonal catch-and-release fishing. There are no games drives offered at Pelo, in an effort to avoid the use of vehicles.
