The best neighborhoods and centers to spend, spend, spend!

A must-buy item in Dublin is Irish smoked salmon, which is sold vacuum-packed at markets such as Dunnes Stores.
From local designers and hand-crafted goods to high-end antiques and fashionable department stores, Dublin has become a hub for great shopping of all kinds. And whether you’re window shopping or on a major mission, these neighborhoods and centers are sure to fit the bill.

Grafton Street
The famous Grafton Street is a focal point for Dublin shopping, replete with smart shops and popular British chain stores. Smaller offshoot streets are also great for authentic finds at specialty shops selling books, crafts, jewelry, and clothes. A few of note include Duke, Dawson, Wicklow, Nassau, and Cow’s Lane, home to local designers.

Antiques Quarter
A well-known spot for antique shops is Francis Street and the surrounding area. Patrick Street, O’Connell Street, and the Dawson Street area also have shops worth seeking out if you’re into antique hunting.

Powerscourt Centre
This elegant shopping center is housed in a beautiful Georgian town house. Treasures to be found here include fashion by some of Ireland’s top designers, antiques, shoe stores, and jewelry, plus relaxing cafes for taking a break between spending sprees.

George’s Street Arcade
Vintage lovers won’t want to miss George’s Street Arcade, where fabulous used finds are just begging to be uncovered. Retro jewelry, used books, and vintage clothes can be found in over 50 shops and stalls bursting with unique Dublin personality. Those seeking additional diversions can enjoy restaurants, coffee houses, music, and art here as well.

Department Stores
Dublin’s most iconic and prestigious department store is Brown Thomas, selling luxury brands from across Ireland and Europe. The more affordable Arnotts offers everything from designer goods to bargain finds. Clerys is another well-regarded choice, with international fashion trends galore. And, to keep the party going, venture toward Henry Street (located near both Arnotts and Clearys), a pedestrian-friendly zone full of street fashion and chain stores.
