Hotel’s location, staff, and recent renovations make it well worth a stay

The Grand Hyatt San Francisco offers great views of the city, as well as free guided tours every Saturday morning for guests.
The Grand Hyatt San Francisco may not be the city’s most well-known hotel, but its prime location, helpful staff, and recent facelift make it a great option for travelers looking for convenience and style.

Located in San Francisco’s Union Square, the hotel offers easy access to public transportation, dining, shopping, and entertainment. Sitting high on Stockton Street also gives it impressive views – particularly those from the Bay View rooms, which offer a scene stretching across the city on clear days.

The hotel’s Pure Rooms are hypoallergenic, meaning that they have been treated to reduce airborne particles as well as those on fabrics and surfaces, for a more comfortable stay. Recent renovations, which were completed in late 2012, left the rooms with a stylish design, including hardwood floors and a generous bench desk with plenty of electrical outlets. Other technological offerings include a multimedia hub, high-speed Internet, flat screen televisions, floor-to-ceiling electronic blackout shades, and more.

Other benefits of the property include the Grand Club lounge, renovated meeting areas with an emphasis on technological upgrades and the OneUp restaurant, which serves locally-sourced and seasonal fare. The adjacent OneUp lounge offers a variety of drinks as well as daily events and live music.

Be sure to stop at the concierge desk, where the staff, led by Joanna Husk, are a fabulous resource for visitors. The staff can assist with booking tickets, directions and more – Husk even leads a free guided tour of Union Square every Saturday at 7:30 a.m. for hotel guests.
