Royal Caribbean will have a float in the annual NYC Thanksgiving Day Parade
Among the festive lineup of the 87th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a new float from Royal Caribbean International. The float, dubbed “A World at Sea,” was designed by the creative artists of the Macy’s Parade Studio to bring the experience of a cruise vacation right to the streets of midtown Manhattan.
Three distinct postcard scenes will be displayed on the float, depicting specific Royal Caribbean experiences such as the cruise line’s signature FlowRider surf simulator, zipline, and rock climbing wall. The float will celebrate the line’s Quantum of the Seas – which is set to debut in November 2014 – and will feature Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth singing “New York, New York.” Quantum of the Seas will sail out of the New York area to Caribbean destinations.
