Many resorts in the Canadian Rockies are drawing visitors to come ski and spa

With one of the longest ski seasons in North America, western Canada resorts often offer some of the best deals in late spring.
After a big day tearing up the slopes there’s no better way to unwind than with a steam bath, massage, or other relaxing treatment at a world-class spa.

From Kananaskis to Canmore and Banff to Lake Louise, the top ski resorts in Western Canada offer vacationers the opportunity to enjoy the full range of both activities in super luxurious environments.

Within an hour of the historic town of Banff there are three world-class ski resorts – Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Mount Norquay – all of which can be enjoyed on one tri-area lift pass. After several days on the slopes, muscles will appreciate some special attention and are within easy reach of one of the best spas in the world – the Willow Stream Spa at the ‘castle hotel,’ the Fairmont Banff Springs.

Three cascading waterfall pools, A European mineral pool and private spa areas with steam rooms, Jacuzzis, inhalation rooms, saunas and private lounges are just some of the amenities available.

In nearby Canmore, the Solara Resort and Spa s a great place to unwind and get pampered after a day of Nordic or downhill skiing. Personal training, Pilates, physiotherapy and more are offered in the 9,500 sq. ft. facility.

The Delta Lodge in Kananaskis is a destination in itself with loads of winter activities and a spa that includes an indoor/outdoor whirlpool, eucalyptus steam room and sun deck.
