Where to view fine art in Las Vegas

The cultural side of the Strip can be accessed at Wynn Las Vegas and sister property Encore. Resort developer Steve Wynn and Roger Thomas, executive vice president of design for Wynn Design and Development, both have a personal interest in and eye for quality art, which they have incorporated throughout the two hotels. Highlights include the multic-colored “Tulips” sculpture by Jeff Koons, Fernanado Botero’s Circus series and paintings by artist Tim Bavington.
At the Bellagio Las Vegas, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts features a rotating exhibit of pieces by renowned artists. Featured artists at the gallery have included Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, Peter Faberge and Alexander Calder.
One of the lesser-known attractions at The Cosmopolitan is the P3Studio, offering a rotating showcase of eclectic artwork, including some from local artists.
Downtown, the thriving local art scene centers around the 18b Las Vegas Arts District. At the monthly First Friday festival, people pack the Arts Factory and much of the downtown area for a taste of the local art experience. Also check out Emergency Arts near Fremont Street, which serves as part gallery and part creative community collective.
