Winter might be over, but really it’s just beginning. The final season of Game of Thrones starts on Sunday, April 14th and you could say we’re a little excited. Many of your favorite scenes and moments in the series are filmed all over the world in gorgeous locations. You can visit these locations in real life and make a vacation out of it. Much of the show’s scenes were shot throughout Iceland. Several famous scenes happened at Þingvellir, or Thingvellir National Park. You might recognize some of the scenery from the harrowing journeys of Sansa, Little Finger, the Hound and Arya. If you want to get a glimpse of Winterfell, head to Northern Ireland and be sure to visit Tollymore Forest Park. This is where we were first introduced to the Starks’ direwolf puppies and also where Jon and Tyrion trekked north to the Wall. The nature views here are stunning. A short drive away in Newcastle, you can book a stay at Enniskeen Country House Hotel, which overlooks the Mourne Mountains. It’s a mountainside hideaway that offers a perfect place to relax.
