Indulge your sweet tooth at these savory ice cream parlors

For those less familiar with Paris, an arrondissement is an administrative division of the city into numbered districts ranging from 1 to 20.
After a busy day exploring the beautiful streets of Paris, a deliciously cold ice cream treat is just what the doctor ordered. Grab a cone and continue exploring the city, or sit down, relax, and enjoy the ambiance of these local ice cream parlor favorites.

Berthillon
For three generations, this family-owned business has been a classic ice cream parlor in Paris. They make it all – from tasty traditional favorites to unique creations like pear-caramel and mocha tiramisu. Located on the Ille Saint Louis, which neighbors the Ile de la Cite and its famous Notre Dame Cathedral, Berthillon has a perfect pedestrian friendly destination.

Amorino
This gelateria was founded in 2002 by two Italians who craft their gelato according to the purest Italian traditions and only serve it with spatulas, never scoops. The chain gelateria has classic flavors including Amaretto.

La Masion du Chocolat
Head to this upscale chocolatier in the summer to taste refined ice cream flavors like white chocolate and pistachio. Pair your ice cream with delectable chocolates and pastries. The shop is located in Faubourg Saint-Honore, one of Paris’ swankiest neighborhoods. Stroll the streets for an old-world Paris experience.

Café a la Banquise

This bistro has expanded its menu to include unique ice cream flavors. Located in Montmartre – home to Moulin Rouge and the setting for various scenes in the film “Amélie” – this neighborhood is sure not to disappoint.

Tuileries Gardens
After a busy day touring the Louvre, relax at the nearby Jardin des Tuileries. Dip your feet in one of the many fountains or visit the amusement park that is set up along Rue de Rivoli on the Gardens’ north side in the summer. To cool off, enjoy one of the many flavors of soft serve offered around the gardens. With the widest variety of flavors, the hardest part will be choosing your favorite!
